Friday, April 25th - Kindergarten Movie Night 6:30pm - come and watch The Lorax with me!

Thursday, May 22nd at 2:45pm -Kindergarten celebration!
*More detailed information will be coming about these exciting things!
The week before spring break we enjoyed doing Dr. Suess activities. We loved learning with Dr. Suess and we had so much fun each and every day! We started the week off with our Book Parade and reading with the Cat in the Hat! Everyday we had a fun snack and read Dr. Suess books and did fun activities! I sent home all of the kids' charts and hopefully you have been continuing to have fun with Dr. Suess and fill in the rest of the chart at home with your family! Please check out our video!
When we came back to our classroom after spring break we had some special visitors - although we never saw them - we know that there were some silly leprechauns that came to visit our classroom. At the beginning of the day our desks were all mixed up and our name tags were no where to be found (we just found them yesterday-three days later in our classroom refrigerator), and after lunch we had notes left on our chairs, and after recess our room was a disaster and we had to do some serious cleaning! But those silly leprechauns left us some chocolate coins, cookies, and green pop which we very much enjoyed! Overall we had a great St. Patrick's day! Please check out our video!

Spring Break and Ms. Kate
I hope you all have enjoyed Spring Break and are ready to get back into the routine of school- I also hope you were able to spend some great time together as a family!
On Monday it is St. Patrick's Day - so please dress your child in green - sometimes those silly leprechauns come and visit us at Meadow Lane - so we need to be ready!
Ms. Kate's last day was last Thursday and we made her a short video so that she can always remember her time at Meadow Lane with us! We loved having Ms. Kate in our classroom - we will miss her smile and contagious laugh! All of the kids loved working with her! We wish her the best of luck with all of her future adventures! We are so lucky to have gotten to work with Ms. Kate!!!

A few things...
Next, Monday March 3rd is the Book Parade - Mr. K has sent home a few things on this but I wanted to remind you that on Monday we will be having a parade around the school and your child can dress up as their favorite book character - if the outfit isn't too crazy they can just wear it to school but if you think it might be a problem or of course is too big or uncomfortable - please just send the outfit to school and we will get it put on before the book parade starts. Also we would LOVE to have you come and line the hallways. The parade will start at 9:20 and after it is over you can come into our classroom and read with us! I am very excited for my costume this year and I can't wait to see what all of my friends choose to be! Check out last years costumes - Mrs. Schroeder was the old lady who swallowed a fly and I of course was the Lorax!
On Tuesday, March 4th is the Science Fair and it is soo much fun. I didn't have anyone from my room sign up to do a project this year (you still can if you were thinking about it but Mr. Mann needs to know right away:) ) but you are still welcome to come back to school and check it out - there are going to be lots of fun things going on that night. Also Henry and I are doing a family project together, we haven't exactly started it yet or come to a final decision on the topic because of course we both want different things but we will for sure be there on Tuesday night and we hope you will join us!
In your child's Wednesday folder I sent home a big green shamrock -Please have your child share how LUCKY they are!! You can draw pictures on the shamrock and label why they are lucky. You could put real pictures on the shamrock to tell show how lucky they are. If you don’t want to ruin real pictures you could just make copies of the pictures to glue on!! I also used glitter to decorate my shamrock!! It is up to you!! Please be as CREATIVE as you can!! Please bring the shamrocks back by Wednesday, March 5th!! Please see my example from last year- I am going to have to make a new one this year since Macy joined the Woita family!
